Assisted Instrument Purchase Scheme (AIPS)
We are able to offer instruments to students under this scheme whereby a school is able to purchase an instrument on your behalf, and thus save you the cost of the VAT. Please note that specific conditions have to be met and not all schools are prepared to participate.
Pupils attending local education authority (LEA) maintained schools and receiving instrumental lessons at school can usually obtain music instruments through the Assisted Instrument Purchase Scheme.
Commonly, the following conditions apply:
- The pupil must be in full time education at a LEA school.
- The pupil must be receiving tuition from an appointed visiting instrumental teacher.
- The instrument must be appropriate to the pupil's needs.
- The instrument must be handed over from the school to the pupil on school property.
For more information please contact your school.
